We're currently seeking an Intermediate to Senior Travel Consultant with a minimum of three years' experience to join us in delivering exceptional service and creating lifelong memories for our clients.

About the Role:

As an Intermediate to Senior Travel Consultant at Pukekohe Travel, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will already know the responsibilities of a travel consultant however at Pukekohe we pride ourselves on:

  • Providing personalised recommendations and itinerary planning tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
  • Handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after their travels.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, destination knowledge, and product offerings to provide informed advice and recommendations.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Hold New Zealand residency.
  • Have a minimum of five years' experience as a travel consultant.

Marketing Assistant / Product Support - Travel

Why You’ll Love This Role:

In this position, you’ll use both organisational and creative talents to inspire and engage baby boomer travellers with enticing travel content. From supporting to develop tour concepts and creating captivating brochure copy to collaborating with partners, with a high level of attention to detail to ensure hassle free travel for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel Copywriting: Write compelling, inspiring copy for tour brochures, website content, and promotional materials that speak directly to the aspirations of our baby boomer clients.
  • Supplier and Partner Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and partners to refine and enhance travel products, including sourcing high-quality images that resonate with our target market.
  • Product Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date listings of all travel products across platforms, ensuring clear and consistent information for clients and consultants.
  • Market Insight and Feedback: Work with the product management team to gather and respond to product feedback, keeping our offerings fresh, relevant, and innovative.
  • Quality Control: Perform regular checks on product listings, pricing, and availability to ensure accuracy and a seamless client experience.
  • Industry Research: Stay informed on travel trends, competitor offerings, and insights relevant to baby boomer travellers.
  • Database Maintenance: Keep product databases organized and accurate, making information accessible for both clients and internal teams.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Travel & Leisure Background: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a travel agency, tour or leisure company, or travel-related industry.
  • Exceptional Copywriting Skills: Skilled at creating compelling copy that captures the spirit of travel for the baby boomer audience.
  • Marketing Mindset: Strong understanding of marketing principles and experience writing for a target market, ideally within travel or leisure industries.
  • Detail-Oriented: A commitment to accuracy and high-quality output in every aspect of your work.
  • Multitasking Abilities: Able to manage multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with CRM systems, online platforms, and product databases.
  • Customer-Focused: A client-first approach with experience in customer or product support roles.
