Omaka Air Show

This action-packed weekend is a must-see biennial event. Don’t be surprised if formations of Spitfire, focke-wulf and bi-planes buzz their way across the marlborough skies just above your Grandstand seat. The omaka aviation heritage centre is also well-worth a visit! If you have never Been to an air show and enjoy action, then this is a weekend for you.

Thursday 17 April

Auckland – Blenheim

Morning departure on Air New Zealand. On arrival in Blenheim, visit a local vineyard for lunch and enjoy the wines. Later travel to your Blenheim accommodation. Evening free.

Friday 18 April

Blenheim

Breakfast iconBreakfast

Morning free before transferring to Omaka Airfield on the official practice day. Relax and absorb the ambience and / or visit the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre located adjacent to the airfield. Later enjoy the spectacular Twilight Extreme Show of sunset flying and fireworks – a great beginning to the weekend.

 

Saturday 19 April

Blenheim

Today is show day with more than 100 display aircraft expected to be participating. Experience mock airfield attacks, supported by ground theatre and pyrotechnics. The aircraft and ground display will impress with WWI airplanes, military vehicles, mock battles and non-stop action. Lunch included.

Sunday 20 April

Blenheim

A day of more non-stop aviation action, time to visit and re-visit, enjoy the day and the grand finale. Return to Blenheim for your Farewell Dinner at a boutique rural estate.

Monday 21 April

Blenheim – Auckland

Transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Auckland.

Optional Marlborough Sounds Cruise - Sunday 20 April -$205 per person 

After days of intense airborne action, an option is to relax and enjoy the stunning Marlborough Sounds on this exclusive afternoon scenic Seafood Odyssey Cruise.  Discover the natural beauty of Queen Charlotte Sound aboard a well-appointed catamaran, sampling local seafood and wines. Transfers ex Blenheim included.

• A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person will secure a place on this tour

• Full payment is due no later than 25 February 2025

• Bookings made after 25 February 2025 will require full payment

Cancellations

• From date of booking until 24 February 2025 – loss of deposit

• After 24 February 2025 – no refund

Travel Insurance

We advise all participants take out suitable travel Insurance to cover cancellation costs. Please ask for a quote.

Health & Mobility

• To ensure the tour is enjoyable for the whole group a   good standard of fitness is required

• Mobility frames are not practical or permitted

•We expect tou to arrive fit, healthy and ready to travel
