A relaxing morning before transferring to the Adelaide Parklands Rail Terminal to board The Ghan. Prepare for a journey of comfort, relaxation and a touch of adventure, as the legendary Ghan takes you deep into the heart of Australia.
Continue your journey aboard The Ghan making a sunrise stop in Marla, an Australian outback post, before continuing onto Alice Springs - the heart of the Red Centre. Experience a choice of optional activities in Alice Springs. Re-board the train and relax as your journey continues north to Katherine.
Arrive in Katherine, home of the stunning Katherine Gorge and rich indigenous history. A cruise along the jaw-dropping Nitmiluk Gorge or time with the local Aboriginal people are part of the wide range of options today. Arrive in Darwin early evening.
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at your leisure. Included is a Hop-on Hop-Off bus pass to explore Darwin at your leisure.
An early morning start for the drive to Litchfield National Park. The gorgeous, historical town of Batchelor is the gateway to Litchfield National Park. View the termite mounds found at Litchfield National Park and the spectacular double waterfall of Florence Falls from a high vantage point. Return to Darwin this evening.
After breakfast, transfer to the Darwin Cruise Terminal to board ‘Crown Princess,’ your home for the next seven nights.

Broome was known as the “pearling capital of the world” when Japanese, Chinese and Aboriginal divers toiled in arduous conditions to harvest the pearls. Although still a remote outpost, it has become a popular tourist destination.
Exmouth is a small resort town situated just north of the Tropic of Capricorn, 1100km north of Perth. The location was a WWII military base, and the town was established in 1967 to support the nearby US Naval Communication Station. Some structures are still used by the Australian navy today.
Arrive in ‘Freo’, rich in maritime and penal colony history, picturesque and the gateway to Perth, Western Australia’s capital. Disembark and enjoy a Perth City tour before a Farewell Dinner.

A good standard of fitness is required for this tour. The ability to walk unaided for 1km is essential. The train is unstable while travelling, therefore you need to be firm-of-foot. We expect you to arrive on tour fit, healthy and ready to travel.
