Autumn is the time to tour Eastern Canada. The Maritimes are picturebook pretty - Peggy’s Cove, Halifax, the Cabot Trail, Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island and the Lucy Maud Montgomery series ‘Anne of Green Gables’) all heighten this image.
Quebec Province is ablaze with foliage that creates a tapestry of yellow, orange and red, interspersed by evergreens - a never forgotten sight. The province is more French than one might expect, with a deeply rooted Catholic history. Experience the constant feeling of being in Europe while in North America. Quebec City is North America’s only walled city. Narrow, cobbled streets wind through the Old Town, offering views of the mighty St. Lawrence River. Both French-speaking Montreal and the nation’s capital, Ottawa, add their own dimensions.
