Friday 03 October

Auckland – Christchurch – Akaroa

Mid-morning departure on Air New Zealand. On arrival transfer by coach to your waterfront motel accommodation. This evening the festival commences with the official opening, followed by Le Marché de Nuit– the Night Market. (Fabulous food, wine vendors, live music and party-goers dancing).

Saturday 04 October

Festival Day

Breakfast

This mornings, “Landings” on the main beach. A reenacting of the many who came to call Akaroa home: First Maori, then whalers and of course, the French and German settlers on board the Comte de Paris. Following this, the Coachlines Brass Band will lead Akaroa’s famous Parade to the Festival Hub - Akaroa Recreational Grounds for the Market Day. Here enjoy lots of French cuisine, live music, local food and wine as well as a local fashion show and a French cooking demonstration. For the more energetic, French-themed competitions will be held, including cock crowing, a waiter’s race and many French games.

Saturday evening - Definitely party time – showstopping Le Cabaret in the Big Top marquee featuring comedy, Le Can Can and risqué burlesque. Revellers can dance the night away to music from New Zealand’s best entertainers.

Sunday 05 October

Return home

Breakfast

A free morning at the festival centre - La Brocante, local vendors will be selling antiques and collectibles. Before a mid afternoon departure from Christchurch airport.

•Mobility frames and wheelchairs are not practical or permitted
